Doggie Drama

This summer has seen a lot of new developments in the Diet Drama house. One of which has been the addition to our family:

Super cute, no? This beagle/boxer/dunno mix was found on Petfinder.com and has pretty much changed our lives. She's my excuse for the lack of posting...also my lack of focus. Of course, she's not the only reason I've been dietetically unfocused. I have been going through physical therapy for a back injury from my semi-recent car accident. I FINALLY am out of PT, and have been given the all clear to exercise at full throttle and put my all into romping around with the new pup.

Although I'm frustrated with my lack of progress, I'm feeling good about myself. I've turned that self-esteem corner and am now just thankful that I got fixed up and am now healthy! Oh, and thankful for this sweet (and sometimes crazy) puppy who's settled so fast, it's like she's always been here.

Doggie Drama also brought in some much needed separation between the couch and my ass. Being up and strolling around the yard while she sniffs and explores is 100% more productive than watching another rerun of The Big Bang Theory (and sometimes, even more hilarious, if that's even possible).
